"tra architettura e città"

Questa iniziativa, pensata e portata avanti da un gruppo di studenti universitari della facoltà di architettura di Firenze, nasce dalla volontà di fare un’esperienza culturale concreta e ad ampio respiro nel campo dell’architettura al di là di quelle più puramente accademiche che l’ateneo propone, comunque necessarie alla crescita e maturazione di un giovane aspirante architetto. A partire dal dato oggettivo del fascino che l’architettura, nei modi più disparati, ha esercitato su di noi (altrimenti non avremmo intrapreso questa strada!), questa iniziativa è stata lanciata e sostenuta ogni volta dalla volontà di vivere intensamente e in prima persona la vita universitaria. È stata concepita come uno strumento in più che l’ateneo ci offriva per potere andare a fondo, per poter capire meglio cosa abbiamo tra le mani, per poter capire meglio cos’è che tanto ci ha affascinato. Un’occasione come questa non poteva essere presa in considerazione con meno serietà, responsabilità e entusiasmo di così! Questo è il primo e unico concorso di architettura, ad oggi, organizzato da soli studenti e questa è la testimonianza che anche oggi la nostra condizione può essere vissuta positivamente e attivamente senza scetticismi nonostante le contraddizioni, le difficoltà, la fatica. Il concorso si propone di stimolare il dibattito progettuale e architettonico sul territorio. Da anni la sua organizzazione e i suoi partner promuovono attivamente nuove idee da attuarsi nei luoghi di maggior interesse nell'area fiorentina. Attraverso i progetti di collaborazione internazionale il bando continua a destare interesse tra studenti ed istituzioni e si va definendo negli anni come nodo produttivo e creativo interno all'Università fiorentina e dell'Ordine degli Architetti.

 

This initiative, designed and carried on by students from the faculty of architecture of Florence, was born out of the desire for a concrete cultural experience and a broader view in the architectural field, a view that surpasses the strictly academic ones proposed by the university, which are nonetheless necessary for the growth and maturity of an aspiring architect. Starting from the objective fascination that architecture, in various ways, exercises on us (otherwise we would have not started this!), this initiative was launched and is constantly supported by the desire to live university life more intensely and as active players. It was thought as an additional instrument to deepen, to better understand what we have at hand, what has fascinated us so much. Such an opportunity could have not been taken into consideration with less seriousness, responsibility and enthusiasm! As of now, this is the first and only competition about architecture, solely organized by students; this is the proof that even today we can live our condition positively, actively, and without scepticism despite contradictions, difficulties and weariness. The purpose of the competition is to stimulate the projectual and architectonical debate on the territory. Since years its staff and its partners have been actively promoting new ideas to realize in the most interesting sites in the Florence area. Through projects of international collaboration the call for participation continues to interest students and institution and year by year is becoming a productive and creative centre within the University of Florence and the Order of Architects.
